Long Time No Post...

I know it has been a long time since I have posted anything...my apologies. However, I have been trying to busy myself learning:):)

I am becoming a little bit more familiar with photoshop actions, layers and layer masks...all thanks to the wonderful world of google!!

I have also been trying to re-design a "logo" or "watermark" that I can place on all of my images (rather than the very basic and boring one that I have been using thus far).

I have come up with 2 designs that I love. I think that they really capture the essence of my creative style!!! I chose 2 designs because I wanted a certain style for the everyday lifestyle part of the business (family, pets, etc.) and a similar but slightly more elegant style for the wedding/engagement side of the business. Keep in mind that I didn't want them to be too dramatically different, just a slight difference.

I am posting both of desings here and would really appreciate some feedback...let me know what you all think!

Mr. Joseph Darwiche...

I know I know...there was no Foto Friday posted this week. I am feeling A LOT restricted with the editing program that I am working with. Like I mentioned in previous posts, I am also feeling very restless/excited/impatient/constrained, etc.

I think that I need to outline a list of my goal priorities (which I will post later)....kinda like 101 things to do in 1001 days, but totally directed towards my photography hobby and developing it into a full time business.

Today, I am introducing you to my future brother-in-law! Mr. Joseph Darwiche is a handsome young man (yes...he is 7), and I am super excited that in August I get to call him my little brother!





I get to referee sibling wrestling matches!!


annnnnd...I have a second shooter in training!

Foto Friday No.6...Winter Blah's

I think I have a case of the Winter Blah's.

Christmas is over...the snow piles are huge and dirty...the sun is hiding...it's dark at 4:30pm...it has been soooooo cold outside, etc. etc. etc.

Need I say more?

I need that warm soothing feeling of the sun on my skin...getting into a boiling hot car...birds chirping...the smell of sunscreen...9:00pm sunsets...bbq'ing. etc. etc. etc.

I'm craving summer......I neeeeeeed it!!!

I fully admit it...I forgot!

Okay, I will fully admit my wrong-doings...I completely, totally and honestly forgot to post a foto for this weeks foto friday! I whole heartedly apologize for this thoughtless mistake.

I think that this mishap may have something to do with my restlessness. Why am I so restless???? I have been researching and learning a few things about photography here and there. I am soooooooooooo anxious to purchase a new camera and really get into editing with photoshop. I am so verrrry excited to experiment with the numerous resources that I have come across. I have so many ideas and inspirations floating around in my mind, just waiting to come out!!! Stay tuned:)

Dress Shopping Day...

My wedding party and I set out today on a mission to find some bridemaid's dresses.

Mission Accomplished!!!!

I have the most fantabulous group of ladies in my bridal party who made the whole "could be train wreck" day into a perfectly smooth disasterless day!!

We made it to 3 bridal stores...some of which were packed with a few bridezilla's and their matron of horrors!!! Oh my goodness.

I'm so lucky!!! We all came to a consensus and I must say I think we made a great choice!! Thank you ladies for your efforts, enthusiasm, time and honest opinions...Love you guys! Seven more months......:P

Okay....unfortunately my day was not filled anything too exciting or inspirational for today's foto friday.

I took a look back at some of our engagement shots which were done by Dan Deveau and I decided to edit a couple of my fav's.

And yes...technically it is Saturday....but according to me it's still Friday night:P
